Today people are searching for the Safe Place mentioned in Revelations where God's people will be hidden during what the world calls the tribulations. Let us analyze this safe place and see what God actually says.

Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thous and two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Some people think this safe place is Petra. But they would be surprised to see that the word Petra is not found in the Kings James Bible Some say the correct translation of Petra is Sela and then again they are surprised to see Sela is only mentioned once in the Bible

Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. Isaiah 16:1

People say the correct translation for Arabia in Galations 1:17 should be Petra and they say the correct Hebrew translation for Petra is Sela Easton's Bible dictionary states.

Se'lah, rock, the capital of Edom, situated in the great valley extending from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea (2 Kings 14:7). It was near Mount Hor, close by the desert of Zin. It is called the rock (Judg. 1:36). When Amaziah took it he called it Joktheel (q.v.) It is mentioned by the prophets (Isa. 16:1; Obad. 1:3) as doomed to destruction. It appears in later history and in the Vulgate Version under the name of Petra. The caravans from all ages, from the interior of Arabia and from the Gulf of Persia, from Hadramaut on the ocean, and even from Sabea or Yemen, appear to have pointed to Petra as a common center; and from Petra the tide seems again to have branched out in every direction, to Egypt, Palestine, and Syria, through Arsinoe, Gaza, Tyre, Jerusalem, and Damascus, and by other routes, terminating at the Mediterranean. But as we saw Petra is not in the Bible and Sela is mentioned only once.

As you see the definition for Sela is Rock. And the Rock is Jesus Christ

2 Samuel 23:2 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God

Another word for rock is stone.

Psalms 118:21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Isaiah 8:11-14 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Jeremiah 2:27 Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

Daniel 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

Daniel 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

PETRA-the Rose Red City of the Dead-half as old as time! This is how Petra is advertised in Jerusalem and in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Petrahasan utter lack of water, an utter lack of food, an utter lack of any kind of protection-not only from the armies of this world but from the very merciless elements of sun and heat and sand themselves. Petra is literally what it is advertised to be-the Rose Red City of the DEAD

The people searching for this safe place of Petra are spiritually dead also

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also

SO LETS ANALYZE WHAT GOD ACTUALLY SAYS

Remember duality runs through the scriptures..

When God rescued his people from Egypt he used this same language

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Exodus 19:4

Also notice in Revelations 12:14 that the woman is taken to the wilderness INTO HER PLACE

And as it is recorded in Ezekiel

And I will bring you into the WILDERNESS OF THE PEOPLE
, and there will I plead with you face to face. Ezekiel 20:35.

God's chosen few are hidden and scattered among the people waiting for Jesus to return and seek us out

Ezekiel 34:12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

Next notice in Revelations 12:14 that he will nourish the womanwhere she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time

John 6:49-51 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven
: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Today many people are storing food for the great famine to come But they err not knowing the scriptures

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Matthew 22:29

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD Amos 8:11

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it (Matt. 16:25)

You see, the very things God promises us by way of protection are the things He tells us not to be overly concerned about, notto have our minds studying on, because to be filled with a desire for these physical things is a Gentile weakness

Matthew 6:31-34 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Psalms 91:1-11 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thous and shall fall at thy side, and ten thous and at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

You must put your trust in the CREATOR and not in some valley or rock in the Near East known as the CITY OF THE DEAD.

The only way you are going to be accounted worthy (Luke 21:36) to escape this captivity to come is for you to learn this vital lesson of absolute trust in God for EVERYTHING

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Forget about all the little physical things that stand in the way of your developing the character of Jesus Christ. Get down on your knees and spend more time before God in prayer-keep your eyes open and read the daily news and recognize that the prophecies of your Bible are being fulfilled.

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
